As a licensed professional and former Christian (5/2016-5/2020) – I have, much too often, met people in abusive relationships…
But the one person whose situation left a mark on my psyche, was a woman with multiple (metal replacements) of ribs, partial cranium, jaws, dentures, and bones stemming from decades of physical abuse endured from her husband…
Now despite, seeking guidance from her church each time those attacks occurred, without fail, her “spiritual leader” would sent her back home, under the guise that

The alleged 50% divorce rate across American households as touted by researchers is inaccurate as it pertains to couples who are active in their faith…
Among religious populations, Mr. Wright reports the divorce rate to be as follows:
Catholic couples were 31% less likely to divorce;
Protestant couples 35% less likely to divorce; and
Jewish couples 97% less likely to divorce.
I brought up these statistics to make the point that “Religious” folks including Christians across various denominations are divorcing for whatever reasons.
